JJ on March 5, 2008 at 2:22 PM I am a PT Stern student and was also barred from LPDP for missing one session that conflicted with work.
Stern staff does an excellent job of being upfront with applicants about their not being included in on-campus recruiting.
However, a little extra help wouldn't hurt.
As for the opportunity cost argument, that should not be a factor from the school's point of view in offering a service. Taken as a whole, Langone students provide more revenue and take up fewer resources than their FT counterparts. Moreover, the Langone program is consistently #1, whilst the FT program ranks anywhere from 9 to 25, depending on the source, and, as such, is the feather in the school's cap.
