NYU Stern MBA Part-time MBA Recruiting

NYU Part-time MBA - New Isaac Mizrahi from Target? Is it a real Mizrahi or just a name plus expensive price tag?

According to EEOC, it is illegal to discriminate in any aspect of employment, including job advertisements, recruitment , training and apprenticeship programs. Many MBA programs follow EEOC guidelines. NYU Stern Career Office/Fraser will probably wait until one of the two things happen - the enrollment rate drops due to the growing dissatisfaction with Stern's Career Services/CCWP or someone files a discrimination lawsuit against them. Well, that's their jobs on the line. I am not sure how long it is going to last for. Almost everybody I know in the part-time program are very unhappy with Stern MBA Career Services. People feel cheated.

If Stern MBA part-time and full-time MBA are the same program, all students must have equal access to the same employment resources after passing a series of prep workshops.

If Stern/Fraser wanted to create a separate inferior MBA program ("fed fund moneymaker") they should have called it something different, like "NYU Part-time MBA for working moms" and rank it separately. I bet this program would be like #20 or $30 in part-time ratings. I am not sure how Stern gets away with it.

Stern OCD Guide to Recruiting: " Part-time MBA students are not eligible to attend corporate presentations or interview for positions through the full-time on-campus recruiting process. However, if you are interested in interviewing parttime
students, please contact the Career Center for Working Professionals at 212-998-0235."

Forget the EEOC, it doesn't meet the criteria put forth in the Professional Responsibility class that all part-time students are required to take. That is irony for you.

I am sure the feds/EEOC folks think different about Stern's recruiting practices. Let's wait and see what happens.
Stern's two-tier recruiting system really degraded the part-time program reputation. Last week Stern Part-time was rated #25 out of 30, in large part due to the overwhelming dissatisfaction with NYU MBA Recruiting for part-time MBA students.
